主讲人简介：

罗党论，男，会计学博士，中山大学岭南学院教授、 博士生导师，现任中山大学岭南学院公司金融教研室主任，多家上市公司独立董事。广东省财税大数据重点实验室学术委员会委员。近 5 年在 Journal of Accounting and Public Policy、Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization、Journal of Corporate Finance、Journal of Banking and Finance、The European Journal of Finance、Accounting&Finance、 China Economic Review 等 SSCI 杂志发表论文 10多篇。在《经济研究》、《管理世界》、《经济学季刊》、《会计研究》等国内学术刊物发表论文 40 多篇。2017 年获广东省哲学社会科学优秀成果奖二等奖、四川省第 16 次社会优秀哲学成果三等奖；2018 年获广东金融学年会优秀论文一等奖； 2018年获得财政部“会计领军人才”。

活动简介：

This study analyzes China's state-led bailouts of privately-owned listed firms from 2018 to 2020, which aimed at preventing forced liquidation from share pledges. We find that while bailouts stabilize the market and reduce liquidity risk in the short term, they impede firm performance as a result of increased agency problem. Our research suggests that government interventions, despite intending to avert financial crises, may inadvertently contribute to these issues.
